Summer Construction Wraps Up

Facilities Crews Give District A Major Overhaul
Construction work

Facilities crews in the Mehlville School District have been working almost non-stop on various projects throughout the District.  Many of the large projects have been funded by Proposition R and Proposition A.

The works includes:
-Fire alarm work at Bierbaum Elementary School.
-Fire alarm work at Oakville Middle School and Washington Middle School.
-Major HVAC work at Oakville Middle School and Washington Middle School.
-Minor HVAC work at Forder Elementary School and Hagemann Elementary School.
-Replacing the front commons doors at Mehlville High School.
-Asphalt repair work across the district, including major projects at Buerkle Middle and in front of Central Office.

In addition, every classroom in every District school has been cleared of desks for a total cleaning and a waxing of the floors. “This is a major undertaking every summer,” said Facilities Director Steve Habeck.  “Our goal is to provide a safe environment, a clean environment and a welcoming environment in each of our buildings. Parents, children and staff will certainly see a difference when students return to school on August 17."
