Congratulations to Junior Isaiah Bynum who qualified in the 110 High Hurdles for the state track and field meet in Jefferson City this upcoming weekend.

Any girl interested in summer basketball should stop by room 219 to pick up a schedule. 


Please return your elevator key to Mrs. Pizzella in the office if you are finished using it, or on May 24th, the last day of school, to avoid being put on the fine list.  If you have lost the key, the cost is $10.00.  


Attention future world travelers! I wanted to send one more reminder before summer starts that it's still not too late to enroll on either international educational trip for next year. We're going to Ireland & Scotland during spring break 2018 and developing leadership skills in Germany, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic in July 2018. You can work over the summer to help contribute to payment. And super exciting news: everyone who enrolls by May 31 will be entered to win $500 in spending money! EVERYONE is welcome to join this tour -- you, your parents or relatives, your friends from other schools, anyone!

We are need of A+ math tutors for our after school tutoring program.  If you can tutor in math after school, please see Mrs. Luck in the office and she will let you know the dates.  


We are needing an A+ tutor during TAPs for a student in any subject.  If you need hours are willing to tutor during TAP, please let me know ASAP.  Thanks.

Attention Spring Dual Credit Students: Be aware that spring course registration is now open on both the SLU-1818 and UMSL-ACP websites. MBU and MSU registrations will be available in your classrooms. If you have any questions, check with your dual credit teachers or Mrs. Neighbors regarding signing up for your courses. Pay attention to all deadlines. If you are interested in applying for a Spring Dual Credit Scholarship, applications are available in the Counseling Center.




Many seniors still need to turn in your final A+ tutor hours.  Please do not wait until the last day to turn them in because if there is any kind of a question or problem, we will not have time to discuss it.   See Mrs. Luck with any questions.

There is a job opening at Southwick Veterinary Hospital. It is a part-time position as a kennel assistant. It includes evenings and weekends. We would prefer someone who is seeking a future career in veterinary medicine as a technician or veterinarian.

  • Parent Notes: Please remember that outside lunches, flowers, balloons and other items are not allowed to be delivered to MHS for students by you or others.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
  • Absences: If your student is absent from school, please call the attendance line to report their absence at 314-467-6020. Please state and spell your name, your student's name, their grade level, and the date(s) they are absent. Thank you.
  • Early Dismissals: Parents, if your student has an early dismissal, please remember to call the attendance office ahead of time so that your student will be able to leave on time as needed. 
  • School Closings Due to Inclement Weather:  The School Reach phone obtained through the district internet site at in an alert box at the top of the page. Additionally, you may tune in to TV channel 5, channel 4, channel 2 and 1120 or 20 AM Radio.
