The Health Sciences Advanced studies program will be offered in the afternoon starting in the fall and it will be worth 3 high school credit hours (1 Anatomy and Physiology science credit and 2 practical arts credits).   The class will also offer 8 college credits through Missouri Baptist for students with a 3.0 GPA or higher.  Requirements to apply for the program are listed below. 
  • Senior in 2014-2015
  • GPA 2.5 and higher
  • 2 Teacher Recommendations 
  • Personal Essay (500 words- follow prompt below)
  • Exemplary School Citizenship Record
Personal Essay Prompt:  Determining a career pathway can be a challenging task; young men and women are often expected to make a career path decision before they enter college.  Explain how you have arrived at your decision to explore the health sciences career path, the influences that may have affected your decision and a specific challenge you believe you may face if you choose to pursue a career in the health sciences upon graduation from high school.
