For week of September 21, 2020

Shout out to Seniors Angelina O'Brien and Matthew Hansen on being named National Merit Scholar Semifinalists!

Congratulations to the Cross Country team as they participated in their second meet at the Festus Bowles Invitational this past Saturday.

Overall, our runners clocked some great times, and when I did the final math, it looked as if most of our runners had bettered their times on this course from last year (one of our runners even bettered his time by 3 minutes- Wow).

And Evan McClusky ran a PR (personal best) on this challenging course- finishing 27th place (only 7 away from a medal) way to push yourself Evan.

Our top (and only) medalist was:

Amy Escamilla- JV girls- 17th place medal

Each week, Amy continues to run better and better- way to represent MHS, Amy.

Students can register to vote online at the Secretary of State's website:

Students should go to Elections and & Voting and from there they can Register to Vote. They're able to "Submit Online Voter Registration Application" They would need a device with a touch screen so they can "sign". They're able to use their phone, tablet, iPad, or laptop. If they don't have a touch screen they can still use the website. They would need to "Print and Mail Your Application" or  they're able to "Request an Application to be Mailed" to them.

If students register online, at the end of the process they will get a confirmation screen that says they've registered. If they don't get that confirmation at the end of the process, it's possible the registration hasn't gone through.

Before every election, voters can visit Vote411:

Voters can:

  • See What's on the Ballot
