Attention Juniors: If you are interested in taking the PSAT Exam on October 16, please pick up a registration form in the counseling office. There are only 100 test slots available so the first 100 juniors to turn in their forms with $20 payment will be able to take the exam.

Girls basketball:  Strength training is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:00 pm.


Have you ordered your yearbook yet?  The price is the lowest for the whole year right now!  Order online at to reserve a copy!  The price will increase after Friday, September 13.


Yearbook picture retake day for all underclass students and staff will be in the auditorium during TAP and the lunches on Friday, October 18.  


Last chance to have your senior yearbook picture taken will be on Tuesday, October 22 during TAP and the lunches in the auditorium for any seniors who have not been photographed at Wagner Studios yet.  You can still make an appointment to be photographed at Wagner Studios any time before Oct. 22.  Call Wagner at 314-567-5900 to make an appointment.  


We are in need of an A+ tutors for Algebra I, Algebra II Accelerated, Chemistry, English III, History and Science.  Tutoring would be done during TAP and possibly after school. 

Please contact Mrs. Shannon if you are interested in some A+ tutoring.

Attention Students taking Dual Credit Courses: Enrollment deadlines are coming up for Dual Credit courses. Each college has a different deadline, so it is your responsibility to make sure you are meeting the deadline for your potential college course(s). These are NOT MHS deadlines so we will not be able to give you an extension for being late and the colleges keep very strict deadlines with no exceptions. Please check the MHS Counseling Website under Dual Credit or the college's website for verification.



Dual Credit Scholarship Applications are now available in the Counseling Center and on the website. Deadlines for the scholarship application are September 12 for UMSL courses and Sept. 19 for all other Dual Credit university courses.

  • Absences: If your student is absent from school, please call the attendance line to report their absence at 314-467-6020. Please state and spell your name, your student's name, their grade level, and the date(s) they are absent. Thank you.
  • Early Dismissals: Parents, if your student has an early dismissal, please remember to call the attendance office ahead of time so that your student will be able to leave on time as needed. 
  • In the event school is closed due to inclement weather, staff and parents will be notified via SchoolMessenger alert (text, app notification, phone call and/or email). You can also check our website,, or watch KMOV, KSDK or KTVI for closure information.

Student Parking:  MHS is sold out for parking this year.  Some local businesses rent parking spaces, however MHS is not affliated with those businesses.  If your student is parking at a business, please make sure they have secured an agreement with that facility.  Unauthorized parked vehicles are subject to being towed at that vehicle’s owner’s expense.
