Art Club

Welcome!  Everyone is welcome to join us in room 207 every other Wednesday from 2:20-4:00pm. And NEW this year:  Photo Club! The meetings will be split: we will start our first meeting as Art club.  Two weeks later it will be Photo Club that meets.  Check out our calendar for details.  Make it when you can; come for all or just a part of the time.  We are a very social group who like to create art or just share laughter.  No drawing skills are required!  If the activity we have planned is in high demand, there will be a sign-up sheet right outside the room a week in advance due to space limitations. You can RSVP to the event right through the calendar too.  We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to the following Mehlville art students!!!! Their artwork was accepted into the “ Young Artist’s Showcase 2014” which is sponsored by the St. Louis Artist’s Guild.

Homecoming float!!!
 Time for float decorating!
Here are the dates and times:
Tuesday: 6-8 pm
Wednesday: 6-8 Powderpuff game is at 7.
Thursday: 6-8 if needed.

The theme is The Hollywood experience. Plan your costume as either a celebrity or as the paparazzi. Since we are a blend of Art Club and Photo Club, this should be fun! We have black fringe attached to the float. Alex C. designed our awesome art for the float. The address for where we will be working is right off Butler Hill near Washington Middle School. Even if you cannot help build, you can participate in the parade, but you must RSVP to be in the parade! I have to know how many are planning on riding on the float and how many are walking as Paparazzi!
Stop by room 207 with your decisions or to get directions.
2013 iPhone Photography Awards announced
Is it a photo or a drawing? You be the judge.
Earlier this week an artist got the world talking about his drawings which were created using only ink pens.  The issue is that they look so realistic--more like a photo.  Click this link to see the story on line.
